HO HO HO... Sorry about the airfiles gents...but Santa would never forget you good boys and girls... Ill upload a fix tonight... The sad truth is that Santa had to take a side job delivering Christmas Trees because of the Economy.

Not ths year. See explanation Post #9The reindeer , while excused THIS year's grand christmas voyage during proving trials of Santa's new sled, are still gainfully employed back at base hauling presents to the central distribution point in Lapland. From there the presents are teleported as and when required by Santa's "XmasPressie Tree".Mike :-wave

Assuming you have none of Santa's magic dust to hand, this solution is the next best thing to try:All you need is to select a reasonably fast aircraft from your installed library. You will need the default sounds, textures, panel and model folder from dogs.zip. Copy the original "dogs" folder and call it, say, "Santa".Copy across the airfile and .cfg file from your selected aircraft into the "dogs" root folder and overwrite the existing two files. Then you should change certain parts of the .cfg file.Make sure the following have been substituted:(fltsim.0) <---------N.B. Square bracketstitle=Santas Dogsledsim=xmas_dogsmodel=panel=sound=texture=kb_checklists=kb_reference=atc_id=atc_id_color=0xff000000ui_manufacturer=O.K. >Don't worry, all is well. See my post #9 with up-to-date >news. We had confirmation from Air Services Australia on the news yesterday that Santa has pre-filed his flight plans and they are all approved for his journey through Australian airspace.I think, however, that he must be changing to the Reindeer powered sleigh before arriving here because they also mentioned that with Rudolph leading the way with his flashing red nose he meets all of CASA's safety regulations so everything is all clear for a trouble-free journey. I guess it's something to do with the high temperatures at this time of the year and the Reindeer powerplant can cope with it better than the dogs.I reckon he'd be better off using the Six White Boomers (albino kangaroos, for those not familar with Rolf Harris's Xmas song), they handle the heat MUCH better than anything imported. :-)Merry Christmas everyone

Once you have copied across the airfile from your selected aircraft you must rename the file to "xmas_dogs.air"Then.... it should work....hopefully!Mike :-wave

Ah well, I suppose the 'official photographer' was not made privy to all his contingency plans. Shame really as I thought I was well in after recording all his proving flights around KABQ. Perhaps only the strongest reindeer have been selected for these duties and the rest have been left behind at base for the lighter tasks? Mike :-wave

Shame really as I thought I was well in after recording all his proving flights around KABQ. Perhaps only the strongest reindeer have been selected for these duties and the rest have been left behind at base for the lighter tasks? >Apparently it was a last minute requirement by CASA for Rudolph to lead the team for safety reasons (you know what bureaucracy can be like!). Just as well really, as there was a doozy of a storm hit Brisbane early on Xmas eve and Santa would have needed all the power he could muster to cope with it.Anyway I can now confirm that it definately was the reindeer. Heard on the scanner on 24th Dec around 00:10 local time:"Brisbane Approach, Reindeer1 with you, maintaining FL120, request multiple low level passes over Brisbane city""Reindeer1, g'day, approved, overfly the tower not above 500ft, thence track direct to the city and operate as required, report when complete""Overfly tower not above 500, track direct city, Reindeer1"...some minutes later..."Brisbane Approach, Reindeer1, operations complete""Reindeer1, contact departures on 124.35 for further clearance""Going to 124.35, Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas to you, Reindeer1""Cheers, see you next year"RegardsAdrian
