October 17, 200817 yr Alright, it happened again. I was flying Carenado's C206 in Tahiti. ASX affinity was set to both cores. The first picture in this thread are the settings I used with FSUIPC's wind smoothing on. The screen went black, because of the high G's produced by the spinning, and their was display corruption. How could I tell there was display corruption? I had the frame rate counter on, and it was all messed up. ASX crashed within a few seconds after this happened. It appears like it is always after "parsing line items." Here is the log:21:52:21: Logging Initialized21:52:21: XEngine v1.0.0.332 Copyright
October 17, 200817 yr Hi,Any error message? When was FSX started?I know you said your video driver is up to date, but what version are you using?Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
October 18, 200817 yr ASX didn't give an error message. There was an error message accompanying the crash, but I didn't catch it. I assumed it was the same as the one I posted before. When was FSX started? I'm assuming you mean was FSX started before ASX or vice versa? I always start ASX before FSX.My video drives as of 2 days ago are out of date. I was using 178.13Drivers released 15 Oct are 178.24
October 18, 200817 yr Hi,OK starting ASX before FSX is correct. From the log you posted Thursday, FSX was not started. On Thursday, is that as far as ASX got before crashing? Please see if you can grab any error messages, either from ASX or FSX.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
October 18, 200817 yr I'll ensure I start ASX and let it load and initialize completely before starting FSX. Maybe that is what I am doing wrong. I usually start ASX and right afterward FSX. I haven't ever got any error messages from FSX or ASX, if I do I will let you know. Would it make any difference if I have multiple FSX applications? What I have done is make copies of the FSX.exe and rename them. For example, when I fly the B377 it loads FSX_B377.exe This is so FSUIPC has customized settings for particular aircraft and what not. There are also customized control configs and main FSX setting configs for each different aircraft/application.
October 19, 200817 yr Hi,I don't think so, and I don't think you need to set up different exes for FSUIPC. I think there is a way to do this in FSUIPC.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
