Hi Jan!This really looks great! And excuse me for asking this question, but have you considered making some kind of repaint kit like the one Mark Beaumont has made for the default FS2004 DC-3?I am sure that a lot of people would love to work with such a great model, and it would probably also make more people buy the R4D.Best regards

Thanks Kim, sure there's going to be a repaint kit for the R4D/DC-3 models. It will contain a 'bare' bare-metal texture set, either with or without a white roof, for all repainters to add their favourite livery details. On top of that a number of various DC-3 configs will be released as freeware additions to suit them best as possible.best regards,Jan

Hi Jan!I am sure glad to hear about the repaint kit and the possibility to work with different configs. Then I will just have to do my DC-3 repaints all over again, but I can hardly wait to get started. I have a plan to make all the scandinavian DC-3's that are still flying (6 in all), and the 2 of them are already flying as default FS2004 DC-3 repaints.Best regards

>So here we have one danish DC-3 (ex Royal Danish Air Force):>>And one norwegian:Wonderful repaints, Kim ! Sure don't want to shoot amongst your pigeons but OY-BPB has been on my 'to do' list for a long time already. Promised to do a photo real version of BPB to a german friend,Mathias Naumann,BPB fan pur sang, who sent me a truckload of fantastic photo's on CD's. Couldn't find the time yet to forefill my promise but i'll sure try to set that straight now. I have planned BPB to be one of the first DC-3 models to come as an addition to our new R4D/DC-3 package. There will be enough great looking Skandinavian Dakota's for you left to do, wouldn't it ! ;-)You sure do have a load of the best looking DC-3's still flying around down there, Kim !best regards,Jan

>It was actually Mathias' BPB repaint of your "old" DC-3 model>that got me started in this "business". I was so frustrated>when it turned out not to work properly in FS2004, so I>decided to something about it myself, and Mathias has told me>that he likes my version too.He sure does ! You did an excellent job,Kim ! It's just that Mathias made a big effort in shooting all the photos and sending them to me. That's not because he likes me so much but because, i suppose like all simming Danish Dakota Friends, he'd like to see BPB immortalized in FS as close to the real thing as possible. You don't need to be a nitpicker to notice that f.i. the pax door config of the FS9 default Dak doesn't exactly fit that of BPB. BPB also proudly wears the astrodome where the FS9 DC-3 does not, not possible to have correct looking reg numbers on vstab and wings etc and so on. If you allow me i'll correct that all and more. >By the way, Mahias has sent you a "truckload" of material for>the BPB, but how much will be needed for an "ordinary">repaint? I mean, not all repainters have unlimited access to>their subjects, and some of the planes may not even exist any>longer or they may look very different today.I guess you yourself have proven how much is needed for an 'ordinary' repaint... ;-) If Mathias had not sent me that load of photo's you could've just redone your excellent repaint for my new DC-3 model with pax/cargo door config. It's just that opportunities to do photoreal textures do not come by truckloads,if there is one it would be a sin not to make use of it. ;-) best regards,Jan

Aw c'mon guys,The United paint job is nice, but let's not forget who was the first Airline to serve KRDG. Having worked for Allegheny/USair for 31 years, I suffer from a lot of nostalgia. How about someone creating a paint job like this?

FTimm,Don't worry, there will be lots of repaints for our DC-3 model after it's been released. As soon as that's a fact just pop your request again. I'm sure someone will oblige. You might even want to take a crack at it yourself when the paintkit is there. ;-) best regards,Jan
