Question for those who use Nav3.1 (or 3.0) for flight p

I have been using Nav3.1 for a short while and it works great for my purposes. The only problem I have is that by default you set it up to load all of the .bgl files from fs2002. This makes for a hec of a long start up each time I run the program and the worldwide data loaded slows the program down at times. I know you can choose what files to load so in theory a list that pertains to the area I fly in could be created. Anyone have any suggestions for getting Nav to only load North American data?

I used that exact tutorial when I got NAV 3.1. On each start I watch the bottom of the screen as Nav loads a zillion files (its setup to load the last scenery list used). It takes more than a minute to finish... And I have a spiffy new hard drive with an 8mb cashe.

After the scenery loads, select File->Compiled Scenery List->Save. This saves a fast-loading compiled version. Nav will use this version of the scenery until you use the File->COmpiled Scenery List->Delete option to allow you to make a new compiled list. Happy flying,Philip.

That was the ticket! I figured there was some silly thing I had missed. Now it loads up in the blink of an eye. Thanks

Not to sound "preachy" but there's a file called "quick-start.txt" in the Nav directory that tells you all of this. :)
