Missing "GAUGES\MAAM_B25.GAU"

Recommended Posts

When I select the BT B-25 a message pops up saying I'm missing my GAUGESMAAM_B25.GAU. Also, the sound.dll message no longer pops up when fs9 loads. I'm also having the same problem with the R4D. Looking for probable causes and best solution.

When did you buy your disks, Muleskinner? That might be a good starting point .... :-)Have you got a real name, by the way? That would also be useful.MarkMark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP Fleet, DC-3 AirwaysTeam Member, MAAM-SIM[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cathayhk.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/maamlogo2.jpg[/a]

I ordered the cds for both the BT B-25 and the R4D shortly after they were released. Don't remember the exact date. By the way I have not tried a reinstall of either AC. Duane "muleskinner4" Dice.

I suggest that you reinstall then, Duane. I'm guessing that since both disks have been out for some time and presumably you have flown both aircraft before at some point, that you've got yourself a new computer, have copied your add-on aircraft across, but have not done the same with the gauges. Otherwise there's no reason I can think of that both gauges would have gone AWOL if you have a bona fide install.Good luck. I suspect its the FSSound.dll file that has gone AWOL rather than the gauges. It must be in the modules folder in order for the gauges to show up in FS. The fact that you are no longer seeing the FSSound.dll flag is what we used to call a clue in my Customs career. ;-)In any event, as Mark suggests, a re-installation of either CD will replace it.Bill RambowMAAM-SIM http://www.fssupport.com/maam/maamsim_neon.gif

I haven't gotten a new computer. The only thing I've added recently is a new video card. I checked the modules folder and the sound.dll is there. Sometime today I'll try a reinstall of the BT B-25 and see what that does. I haven't been able to find my R4D CD yet. As soon as I do I'll try that also. Thanks a bunch Mark and Bill!

Hi Duane,SOUND.dll is a stock mudule that comes with FS. What you are looking for is FSSound.dll. Both must be in there. The version is 1.5.0.2., and that is also important.Bill RambowMAAM-SIM http://www.fssupport.com/maam/maamsim_neon.gif

Thanks Bill. There is no FSsound.dll in the modules folder. Is there somewhere I can get one or should I just reinstall my BT B-25. My original CD is for fs2002. I assume I will need to update to fs9 after I reinstall. Thanks again.

Thanks a huge heap to all three of you Mark, Bill and Alastair for you prompt and most of all friendly support. Each of you contributed to the solution to my problem. The problem was an AWOL FSSound.dll. Why it disappeared I do not know. As a result the guages would not appear in either the BT B-25 or the R4D. I reinstalled my FS2002 BT B-25 as was suggested and reinstalled the upgrade for FS9. Both aircraft now load. Again THANKS!!!!
