Engine instrument panel

Hi All,Part of the engine instrument panel on my MAAM-SIM DC-3 (cargo version) is a tad hard to read. The top four gauges are fine (and you can get even larger versions of the RPM and MP gauges on the throttle quadrant popup). The bottom four gauges, however, are tough for my old eyes :-). Wish there were an enlarged panel (like the Pilot's IFR Panel) for them. I did go into VC and closed in on them for a somewhat better view, but this is a bit inconvenient when I just want to scan them in the ordinary course of flying. I've been through the manual many times, but maybe I'm missing something simple here :-).Thanks,Gary

No, there's no pop up for those, Gary, sorry. You're probably one of the only people who bothers to read them, LOL. One thing you might try in the VC if you have Active Camera: you can set up specific view positions and associate them with short cut keys (ctrl-alt-number) so that you can switch quickly to a zoomed position on specifc gauges (ctrl-number). There are some freeware versions of Active Camera around too which may have the same sort of facility Plus of course you can use it on any panel / aircraft.I can get to the attached view by pressing CTRL-3 and then get back to the main panel by pressing SPACE. Hope this gives a solution.RegardsJohn

I do try to make the DC-3 flying experience as realistic as possible, and those gauges can be important in certain failure scenarios by helping you figure out what the heck is happening :-).John -- Also thanks . . . a very good idea and I'll look into it (don't have Active Camera at present). >Hey, whatever it takes . . .Ha! Something I had completely forgotten to recommend to our poster is the built-in magnifier within Windows XP.Go START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/ACCESSIBILITY/MAGNIFIER.
