In what year was the radar altimeter that appears on the MAAM-SIM DC-3 panel introduced? By what date was it in general use? Thanks for the help,Gary

I can't answer your question myself, Gary, as I am no expert on radar altimeters; but I can say that the one the R4D-6/DC-3A panel carries, which is of course an exact replica of the one found in the real MAAM aircraft, is not typical as found in the production panels of the C-47/DC-3. It is almost certainly a later addition, I think. The 'spec' radar altimeter is closer to the gauge variant you'll find in 'Briefing Time'. I've swapped mine out in my own private panel.MarkMark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP Fleet, DC-3 AirwaysTeam Member, MAAM-SIM[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cathayhk.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/maamlogo2.jpg[/a]
