KRDG hangar doors

Recommended Posts

Guest Shalomar

I recently bought the DC-3 CD at the WWII weekend. Great bird, fast and easy installation of scenery but I can't find instructions for opening the hangar doors. I know you have to tune a certain freq on a certain radio; but what?Best Regards, Donald Traill:-waveFLYing? It's cool. Trillions of birds and insects can't be wrong.

DonaldGood investment! Well done, sir, and thanks for supporting the museum. You're going to have fun. Make sure you see our freebie pages at www.maam.org for addons galore for your new purchase. As for the doors, the README refers as follows:"OPENING HANGAR DOORSFeatures of the scenery include two hangars that can be opened by using your navigation radio. To open the MAAM main hangar, tune your Nav1 to 112.00. To open the nearby T-Hangar bay, tune to 114.00. Subsequently tuning the radio to another frequency will signal the doors to close. With the MAAM hangar, please be patient! It takes a few seconds to locate somebody to open or close the doors."I can understand that you haven't had time to read it yet :)MarkMark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP Fleet, DC-3 AirwaysTeam Member, MAAM-SIM[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cathayhk.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/maamlogo2.jpg[/a]

I read a file named "FS9scene", but don't see a "readme" packed in the scenery. In any case, question answered; thanx!I am having fun with this bird, I will definitely check out the freebie link. Not having a compass rose makes the pattern a little more interesting but I did my first night landing on a grass airstrip already. Interesting aproaching in something as big as a B1900 at 80 knots. I confess I put in the "easy steer" .cfg!Best Regards, Donald Traill:-waveFLYing? It's cool. Trillions of birds and insects can't be wrong.

Do you not have an Acrobat file called KRDG-FS9.pdf, Donald? If not, Bill, could this have fallen out of the latest disk edition, perchance?MarkMark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP Fleet, DC-3 AirwaysTeam Member, MAAM-SIM[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cathayhk.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/maamlogo2.jpg[/a]

Nope, it's still in there, though admittedly it takes a bit of looking to find it. I'm not sure why Bill Womack tucked it there, but you will find this great little illustrated doc in the Addon Scenery/MAAM folder once the KRDG-FS9.zip is unzipped. After installation you will find it in that same directory of FS9.Bill RambowMAAM-SIM http://www.fssupport.com/maam/maamsim_neon.gif
