Briefing Time B-25J in FSX Help

Recommended Posts

I have the Briefing Time B-25J working well in FSX with the 2d panels. I also setup several camera views. My problem is that I can't get the VC to display at all. It is in the panel.cfg and all the gauges are in the panel folder. Any help to get the VC to work sure would be appreciated. Thanks, regards, Bob.

Another thing I need is how to open the pilot window. It was Shift-W in earlier versions but that does not work. Thanks, regards, Bob.

Are you using the RTM version of FSX or a beta/demo?BT should be working fine (with some minor gauge issues) in RTM but other versions may require this modification to the model.cfg file in order for the VC to show:[models]normal=B-25_BT_FS9interior=B-25_BT_FS9Window open/close is ctl WFred

Hang in there a bit longer, guys. Both Mark and I are among the Avsim Convention atttendees still awaiting our free FSX copies so we can personally test the patch procedures before posting them. According to the latest in that sad saga, copies will begin to ship on 1-2. If all goes well, we hope to have the patch out by the end of next week.Ctrl-W (deploy water rudder command) operates the window.Bill RambowMAAM-SIM http://www.fssupport.com/maam/hgrsm_blkani.gif

Hi Fred. Thanks. I have the full released FSX version. I already added the interior= line to the model.cfg's. I finally realized that it is not just a matter of using the S and A keys to go from the 2d to the 3d cockpit like in all other planes. You have to move up and forward from the default position to see the cockpit. I think I tried CTRL-W and it did not work. I'll recheck. I may have reassigned that keystroke. I setup some great camera views. This plane is awesome in FSX. The gauges are spectacular. They are even better thnn the SF260 ones in my estimation, which are also great. Bill did a bangup job on this plane and cockpit. I bet the update will make it even better, if possible. Best regards, Happy New Year, Bob.

Hi Bill. All I can say is that you did a GREAT job on this plane and cockpit. I had it for FS9 and never realized it would work in FSX. I finally installed it in FSX and I was amazed. Hope you guys get your freebies. I can't believe MS did this to you all. Hope the patch will be out soon. Best regards, Happy New Year and many many Thanks, Bob.

Hi again Fred. I just tried CTRL-W which I already had set for the water rudder. When I click on it the window jiggles a bit but does not fully open. The water rudder command is not set to repeat. I tried it with the interior= line in the model.cfg and without it. It does the same thing. I found I did get the VC in the Briefing Time full version with or without the interior= line in the model.cfg file. Any suggestions? Thanks, regards, Bob.

Bob,The "Full" version is the only one with a VC.No idea about the window problem. As Bill suggests, hang on. We don't want to get into these porting issues. The updates are in the works.Fred
