Hi guysAnyone know where to find shuttle radio chatter as opposed to the apollo and bajkonur radio that's available?BTW. What does "Engine press to ATO, select CYRAGOSA" mean? Thanks,

The most probable call you heard was "Endeavour, Houston. Press to ATO, select Zaragoza". ATO is short for Abort To Orbit. It is an launch abort mode if one of the three main engines fail or in the event of an system failure. Zaragoza is one of the Trans Atlantic Landing(TAL) sites where the shuttle can be landed in the event of engine failure where there's not enough thrust to reach an safe orbital altitude. You might also have heared the call "Endeavour Houston. Single engine press 104." That means that if two of the three main engine fails the shuttle still reach an normal Main Engine Cut-Off(MECO) altitude using the normal throttle setting of 104%.

Ahhh thanks! So Zaragoza is a name of a landing site! That explains why I couldn't find anything in my Shuttle manual or on the net about it! :-)Learned something new today as well! Great and thanks again!Cheers,
