February 19, 200521 yr Anybody know of a mini style twist axis joystick that I could use for FS2004? I really like the gamepads, except for being able to map the throttle correctly sice the right joystick on the gamepad is center based (center would be half throttle). Thanks!Barry
February 19, 200521 yr I've used a Saitek P880 gamepad with two analogue joysticks and a POV. Assign one joystick to aelerons and elevator, the other to throttle and rudder. If your controller software supports banding, you can set the top 20% of your "throttle" to "increase throttle," the next 20% to "increase throttle slightly. Leave the middle 20% blank, so that "rudder" movements left and right don't inadvertently change throttle settings. Set the next 20% (south of the middle 20%) to "decrease throttle slightly" and the last 20% after that to "decrease throttle." It won't be the same as an analogue throttle lever, but it's pretty intuitive nevertheless. Small movements will lead to small changes in throttle, big movements to big changes.
