AMD rules! :) That said I only have a humble AthlonXP 1800+, but it still runs strong after several years of continues operation. Although I can't fly with much AI or very complex weather. That makes me kind of a good weather pilot. But hey, it ain't that bad really! :-hahA friend bought a new computer some months ago, with a P4 3.0HT/ATI 600Pro 256Mb/1 gig 3200 ram. To be honest I was quite disappointed about it's performance. For sure it's faster than my system but the bang for bucks wouldn't seem right to me.cheersClaudio

I bought a Gateway laptop a few weeks ago: Athalon 64 3400+ 1 gig ram. It has a lower resolution ATI mobility card but I gotta tell ya it out performs my Dell P4 2.6 ATI 128 NP. I fly principally PMDG 737NG and Dreamfleet 727 both with active camera and I am impressed with the performance. John Franklin

John,if you have a moment could you post the model of your laptop and all the system specs? I'm looking to replace my laptop and am interested in any info i can get from others who use laptops for flt sims. The aircraft I use are Dreamfleet 727 and PMDG 737.
