July 9, 200619 yr Anyone else see this kind of issue with a Radeon card? I've tried official Catalyst 6.6, 6.5, 6.4, and all exhibit the issue to one degree or another. Temps on the card are within normal ranges and nothing else seems to be a problem. I've been seeing the issue more often with some add on airports and with a Las Vegas addon (see picture below). Any thoughts? Look like bad hardware? http://img487.imageshack.us/img487/5517/corruption3um.jpg
July 9, 200619 yr That looks like the effects of adaptive antialiasing. Go into your videocards properties and shut it off.Jim Karnhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_pf.jpg
July 9, 200619 yr Author I'll give it a try Jim. Thanks. I thought AAA was only effective with alpha textures though. What clues you in to it possibly being AAA?
July 9, 200619 yr That looks exactly like what I see when it's enabled and I only have an X800XT.Jim Karnhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_pf.jpg
July 10, 200619 yr Well I use AAA all the time, and I've never seen such graphics corruption. Running the Cat 6.3's here on my X800XT.Gary 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11
July 10, 200619 yr Author Well I tried turning off AAA and even rev'd the drivers again, but I still get corruption. I think it may be time to RMA the card.
July 11, 200619 yr Hi,I have an ATI X1800 TX 512mb card and was getting the same texture corruption you are seeing. I haven't had any texture corruption since turning off Temporal anti-aliasing, Adaptive anti-aliasing and High Quality AF. I'm still playing with High Quality AF. I'm also running CAT 6.6's and it seem to only happen at add-on airports like Fly-Tampa's Seattle.I hope this helps,Ron
July 24, 200619 yr I have a GeCube X1900XTX card using 6.6 without a problem. I have also used in CrossFire (2 X1900) make no difference.Andrew
July 25, 200619 yr I have that issue running AAA on my X1800XT. I also used to have an issue similar to that because my RAM wasn't compatible with the motherboard and videocard. Cheers,John TavendaleTextures by Tavers - https://www.facebook.com/texturesbytavers
