September 29, 200619 yr My LCD monitor is getting crudded up. I have little specs on it, not like fuzz, but hardened on things, like dirt globs and stuff lol...not sure what they are. Anyway, they are starting to get annoying. What can I do to clean it? Obviously I can't take a rag to it and push on it hard lol... what do i do? | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
September 29, 200619 yr Hi,I use a 3M Microfiber Electronics Cloth. It can be used dry for light cleaning and damp for heavy jobs such as yours. I would be careful not to let these "solids" remain in contact with the screen while cleaning, as they may scratch the screen. So softening them a bit may help.Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

September 30, 200619 yr I use a well soaked chamois cloth that is squeezed to a nearly dry state, i.e., slightly moist. That works well. You can also mix isopropyl alcohol with water in equal amount and dab it on the shammy to try and clean specks and gobs off. It's very tricky to get crusty stuff of these LCD screens so be careful and very patient.JS Jonathan Sacks Dell XPS Gen 4, Pentium IV Northwood extreme 3.8Ghz, 3Ghz RAM, eVGA 7900 GTO, 12 GoFlight modules plus MCP-PRO AP and EFIS, GF pedestal, CH rudder pedals, CH throttle quadrant, 42" LG LED, 24" DELL LCD, Windows XP, FS2004, FSUIPC 3.96 FS Autostart 1.1 (Build 11), FS Navigator 4.6, UT, FE, GE, REX, PMDG, Level-D, PSS, etc.
