Want to run FSX on the following system.....

Featured Replies

Hello everyone, I just purchased a new system that is being created and delivered from Dell that I would like to know how well it will handle FSX with it's settings sliders almost maxed out.Dell Dimension 9200-Intel

Looks great, with the exception of Windows XP Media Center. Get a proper copy of XP, with an upgrade to a proper copy of Vista.Allcott

I would have but this was a cheaper option with Dell Canada. If I got XP Home, I would have to pay to complete the upgrade to Vista. This way I get the upgrade for free. One mistake I made was in the upgrade. It should say Windows XP Media Center with free Upgrade to Windows Vista Home Premium

FSX Out of the box? FSX will be a little slow with sliders almost maxxed out on that machine. (yes...it will). But, if you do a few tweaks, then yes, that machine will run FSX great, with sliders almost maxxed out.RhettAMD 3700+ (@2.5 ghz), eVGA 7800GT 256 (94.47), ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2 GB Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8, WD 250 gig 7200 rpm SATA2, CoolerMaster Praetorian

That is music to my ears considering I can get it to work Half Descently on my Toshiba Satellite A100-OHF laptop(dual core processor at 1.6GHz with 1GB Ram and 128MB Intel Express Graphics Chipset)
