December 21, 200619 yr I read about this here: http://www.fs2004.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=100341 "Core 2 Duo E6700 (2.66 GHz/4MB L2/1066MHz FSB) and E6600 (2.4 GHz/4MB L2/1066MHz FSB) is planned to cut from $530 and $316 to $316 and $224 respectively, a 40.3% and a 29.1% off." It looks like this is going to happen in January. I'd been planning to get the E6600. At the new price, would the E6700 be a better deal?
December 21, 200619 yr Hi David, AFAIK, those price cuts only cut in Q2/2007. My guess would be late Q2. Intel probably doesn't have many reasons to lower their prices in the next 3-4 months. Acc to the same Chinese source, there's a rumour we'll see DDR3 as of Q3/2007. Late Q3 that is... :-) Kind regards Jaap
December 21, 200619 yr Yep, those prices will only go into effect Q2 2007 Glenn Ryzen 3700X, X570 Pro Wifi, 32GB 3600mhz RAM, Nvidia Titan Xp "Galactic Empire", RM750x PSU, H700 case, 2x NVMe M2 SSD, 1x SATA SSD
