FSX is an amazing piece of software!

Nope ... CPU muli only affects the CPU, calculated on the fixed "base clock" you've set at 248.If all runs well (memory specifically - your sure right) at 248, then it sounds like CPU voltage to me. Baby steps, and don't go over 1.6V. From my testings, cpu voltage usually ends up around 1.52-1.57 for the 2.7-3.0 range. It could be an unlucky stepping revision - but 2750 is usually a cakewalk with good ram. (or if you've got a board you can adjust mem divider ratio)And sorry bout that Gary, I thought it seemed pretty hardware already anyways with most posts discussing the cost of that there FSX rig. ;)Regards'Garett

Been on the phone with Ryan the past couple hours. We had a devil of a time getting his Vcore up. Finally got him up to 1.47V running 235/11 and a 166 mem divider. He said it simmed OK but then he told me his CPU idle temp (in BIOS) was 52C in a 75F ambient room!! Yikes!! He's now returned to 248/10 and 1.42 Vcore. He'll need to look into the cooling issues before going much further. Was fun playing with it all, though. If he can get his cooling dialed in I'm sure he could easily see 2.6 - 2.7GHz.
