Please post your 42.01 Nvidia beta driver results...

I'm very interested to hear what people's results are with these beta drivers. As Drobson originally pointed out, these drivers appear to be the first that let us use anisotropic filtering without causing any sort of blurriness or "ghosting" of the red overlay text or ATC text messages. So I'm interested to know if:1. Do you still get blurred or ghosting red text when using these drivers?2. Do you feel subjectively that the image quality has improved?3. Any stability problems or issues?4. What is your OS, video card and Directx version? Many thanks for any input here. I'm hoping these might end up being the drivers of choice for Geforce owners, as the disappearance of the ghosting and blurred text overlays is something I've been waiting a long time for.I should point out one issue I do have with them is the LOD BIAS seems excessive (ie too far negative) when AA is used, but that can be adjusted. The other problem is that in Win9x there is no way to select any refresh rate other than "default" or "optimal", on my machine anyway. These drivers just seem to ignore whatever information you put into the registry pertaining to alternative refresh rates. Hopefully that will be fixed with the final version.

I've been using them for about the past 36 hours and haven't had any problems with them. While I haven't yet tried anisotropic filtering with these drivers, AA performance seems to be right on with previous dets. I'm currently using DirectX 9.0.Ryan-Flightpro08 :-cool VATSIM Pilot/ControllerZLA ARTCC Senior Controller (C-3)ASRC (Advanced Simulated Radar Client) Beta Tester-----------------------------My "Home Made" System Specs:Intel Pentium 4 2.2GHz ProcessorTurbo Gamer ATX Mid-Tower with 420W Power SupplyEPoX 4G4A Motherboard with Intel 845G ChipsetVisiontek XTASY GeForce4 128MB Ti4600 (Det 42.01 Drivers)512MB PC2100 DDR RAM40GB Matrox 7200RPM Hard DriveWindows XP Home Edition SP1*No CPU or GPU Overclocking*3dMark2001SE Score: 11298-----------------------------Click Here to Download my American Eagle POSKY CRJ-200!

Just a note.. These are the first drivers from nvidia with dx9 support. If you had dx9 b4 these drivers they didnt even do a thing with dx9Ive ran them for about 2 weeks now. Performance is the same as b4.And the messed up text is now fixed. Although i notice when i turn on the texture sharpening option things like trees and radio towerz have black where they are supposed to be transparent

Thanks for the replies. Well it looks like the text problems will finally be resolved in these drivers! It was wonderful to bring up the ATC window and see nice clear sharp text - finally! And since I recently bought Abacus's EZ-Landmark, I've been even more keen to get rid of that blurry text. Now my landmark names are crystal clear as well.I've been playing with these new drivers all afternoon and my feeling is they are acheiving the best image quality yet in FS2002. Certainly the anti-aliasing problems with some objects (like the white runway edges, the sides of buildings, windsock poles, etc) haven't improved, but that can be fixed to a large extent by enabling 2x2 anti-aliasing (if you can put up with the performance hit). All in all, quite encouraging and I'm looking forward to the final release.
