Dual Monitor Dilemma

Featured Replies

I have a dual monitor set up, on which I use an extended Windows desktop. So far so good. For FSX however I just want to use the primary monitor. Whenever I load FSX in full screen mode however, it "grabs" both screens. Is there a way to tell FSX to just use the primary monitor without resorting to windowed mode? That way I can use FS Commander and Navigraph without having to minimise FSX.Anyone know? Thanks.

Don't open FSX in full screen, then rezise the window into 1 screen. I think thats the solution...

Yeh i would like to know this too... i'll have my second screen next week. sorry that i cant help.

I use dual monitor, full screen, and Jeppesen Simcharts has an option to let it "float" ontop of the blacked out secondary monitor (not that I really use it). I also use the secondary monitor for radio stack, atc and so on. I assume this is what you would like to do, just with FSCommander & Navigraph?I think it would require a "float ontop" function within those programs, or a 3rd party utility application thing (...ehm) that would make that happen. As far as I know it's not possible by just changing FSX settings.Aleks

Nevermind, I misunderstood what you were asking. I don't think it's possible.

What's so bad about windowed mode? FS Commander will have a title bar just the same and at least you can get rid of the menu bar in FSX by holding down the ALT key.Gary

What about going to your graphics-card settings and then select single-display for your FS9 session? Thats what I do with my dual-monitor setup and then select the dual display when Im done playing FS9! :)
