Navigation Data in FS2002 etc. / Weather in FS2002

Recommended Posts

Hi there.I want to fly IFR, and this as realistic as possible. So i do my flightplans with PMFlightplanner on the internet. I get a nice flightplan, and weather information etc. basing on real navigation and weather data. But then i go to FS2002: I see, that the airways in FS2002 are often not there, fixes do miss etc. pp, and the real weather download of FS2002 is a problem, too.The thing i want is:A set of real world maps (and a corresponding navigation database in FS2002).AIRAC seemed to be to solution: But can I update FS2002 with an AIRAC cycle? How?I am a little bit confused about navigation in FS2002 using real airways. And: What is the best weather program (for dialup connections).I want this all to be compatible to FS2002 ATC (e.g. if i hear the ATIS of the destination airport, i want to hear the weather at destination, not at present location, like it is when i use e.g. the software "RealWeather".Has anybody any ideas (especially for the navigation problem)?

I think you are going to have to use an external planner that interfaces with FS2002, such as:FSNav - SharewareNAV3.1 - http://nav.consequential.org/ - freewareSuper Flight Planner 2.81 - http://www.futurtechno.com/centralpark/ - freewareFSBuild - http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/a...er1/fsbuild.htm - freewareI believe FSNav and FSBuild have the capability to have updated AIRAC - visit http://www.navdata.at/ for further info. For weather, I recommend:Activesky - activeskyv15.zip - freewareActivesky wxRE - shareware
