Question About New Coming System

Hey guys let me know what you think about this sytem that i putting together for FSX. Quad Core 6600 8MB Cash. 3Gig Memory. Geforce 8800 GT. Vista Operating System. What Level of FSX I will be able to run.Best Regards Adib Afraj

Afraj,You will be able to run FSX in both DX9 and DX10 configurations with sliders set reasonably far to the right in both. DX10 (as long as you accept that it is a technology preview and understand what that means) will allow you do run FSX with light bloom on and still get acceptable frame rates.But ... you've chosen two components that you need to accept RIGHT NOW are going to give you issues inside and outside of FSX and other games: Vista and the GeForce 8800 driver set. You can overcome these issues, but you'll probably have to tinker a bit.This same system with a DX9c card (such as the GeForce 7950) and Windows XP SP3 would provide you with just about a flawless flight simulator.Any savings you realize should go toward the purchase of a TrackIR Pro.Cheers,Kevin
