Upgrade advice

Trying to improve fps in FSX. I have already upgraded the graphics card from the Nvidia Geforce 6200 to the Nvidia Geforce 8600Gt (256mb). What to do next is the question. I understand FSX is very dependant on the CPU. Should the next step be to upgrade this and with what? Yes, a CPU upgrade will be of most benefit to you next. An E8500 and a motherboard to suit will give you a good performance boost in FSX over your P4.Gary

e8450 s/b e8400 typo.Looking at Toms charts it seems CPU matters but only with a certain level of video card.In many cases in his benchmarks slower CPUs outperform faster ones, so a good match is best, at least according to Tom.
