I would not just blame it on a weak CPU. There are so many variables that can cause blurry or slow scenery loading that it is like trying to find a needle in a hay stack. I did notice from your screen shot that you have what looks like other applications running while you

Yes I'd want a clean System Tray there in your lower right corner for sure. Looks like you've got soundvol and Removable Storage Manager icons in there, plus two I don't recognize. :)It *is* like a needle in a haystack...so many variables. All I can say is, I haven't gotten any blurries yet with my new machine. I would think a 6000+ would be enough cpu to avoid blurries at 150 knots. My 4000+ with 2 gigs of DDR2 and a 256 meg vcard did not blurry at 150 kts, but then again, I didn't run with that much vis or autogen going, either. I also locked frames, but that was a single-core processor. Yours is dual. You do look like you're running an unrealistically high visibility setting (rare to see 40-50-60 mi vis in real life at low level) which can have an impact on performance. Also your autogen looks to be dense or higher?? not sure. Plus, we don't know the state of your machine at the time you took the screenshot. Was the mem saturated after a 5 hour FS session? Had the machine been on all day? Etc etc.RhettFS box: E8500 (@ 3.16 ghz), AC Freezer 7 Pro, ASUS P5E3 Premium, BFG 8800GTX 756 (nVidia 169 WHQL), 4gb DDR3 1600 Patriot Cas7 7-7-7-20 (2T), PC Power 750, WD 150gb 10000rpm Raptor, Seagate 500gb, Silverstone TJ09 case, Vista Ultimate 64ASX Client: AMD 3700+ (@ 2.6 ghz), 7800GT

Those are all valid pointsSystem tray: BitDefender virus scanner (not scanning, just there, not sure how much its eating), HP Scanner wizard, sound control, and "click to remove hardware" - I have a card reader attachedI had been running for a little over 2 hoursI'm not sure, sometimes the tiles load at 250kts, other times 150kts is too fast. It would be interesting to have someone with a more powerful system just run the exact flight and see if they are sharp textures.

Try flying the Alphasim SR-71 at mach 3 plus over 80 grand! You leave the world behind......Do not fret. I along with a few freinds who have even faster machines than me start to leave behind textures around 200. Also depends mostly of the games settings.I have turned off EVERYTHING. All autogen/buildings ect and you can still blur it out. Some planes even cause scenery blurs all by themselves. If their was a specific, cure all fix, that would be a popular and rich man.

>If their was a specific,cure all fix, that would be a popular>and rich man.>The cure is the system I just built, below.I haven't seen a blurry yet. Does that make me a popular and rich man?RhettFS box: E8500 (@ 3.16 ghz), AC Freezer 7 Pro, ASUS P5E3 Premium, BFG 8800GTX 756 (nVidia 169 WHQL), 4gb DDR3 1600 Patriot Cas7 7-7-7-20 (2T), PC Power 750, WD 150gb 10000rpm Raptor, Seagate 500gb, Silverstone TJ09 case, Vista Ultimate 64ASX Client: AMD 3700+ (@ 2.6 ghz), 7800GT

Do you guys with your "rich man machines" run any other software?I run a lot of different games and things, cluttering up my hard drive heheThat's prolly half the problem. This was my upgrade, so I could have possible gone with a E6600 when I got it but the AMD was a little cheaper. My next upgrade (a few years from now for sure) will be whatever yields the best bang for the buck. Maybe it will be DDR4 ram hehe
