Nostalgia: CH-Products Mach3 Joystick

Recommended Posts

As I have just opened my old CH-Products Mach3 joystick I thought I'd share a few photos. I often find it interesting to look inside things and the design. The joystick. The pots can be zero-adjusted with the small knobs. The automatic centering can be turned off for each axis with the 'slide switches':http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/189703.jpgThe joystick opened. The two white wires go into the stick to the top-button. The pots are a special type and do the full range with full stick deflection (not the usual 270 degrees).http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/189704.jpgLook where it was made :-) (it did cost approx. DM 60.-(EUR 30) around the time that FS5.1 came out):http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/189705.jpgI am considering using this one as a more portable joystick for use with my laptop (with a gameport to USB converter).Cheers,Siggy
