June 24, 200817 yr Well, dude, then no wonder that you are getting 25fps. All those addons you counted tend to keep the fps or even have higher, except UTX and AI.Now I understand why you have such "good" framerates. So for the info, its no wonder what FS-GS does, its just "do not use addons that impact FPS, so you will have high FPS". Makes sense, LOL :D

Makes>sense, LOL :DThat may be true.....But I did not use Michaels service..I just know of him and others that have used his service......I doubt that is his approach to his service...LOLThe way I see it is this..... I built my rig for what I wanted/expected it to do.....If I flew around 30,000 ft. then I could drop some things....But its the reason I perfer to ride my Harley over my truck....I enjoy seeing whats there...The truck just takes me there......LOLBottom line...I love FSX and my rig....I does just what i want it to do....If others are not happy whith their type of flying and their system, there are options.......Each to his own I say......For me..If my addon kills my system, then its no fun for me...So I toss the addon...Leason learned...Don't ust that addon....
June 24, 200817 yr Well, there I have to agree. One should be happy with his flight sim, and it should do what one want it to do.Then we can do a simple separation: FSX with light-weight addons is a go. With todays advanced hardware. It was a no-go a year ago.FSX with fps-intensive addons is today still a no-go. Solution: FS9.
June 24, 200817 yr LMAO...You got me there Kasta.......LOL And I'm still laughing......I still fly my FS9..I use it for my heavies,as their is not much to see on the ground there....LOLAnd I got so much frickin money invested in add ons.....But my rig smokes FS9...And finally, after 4 years,I'm LOVING that....
June 24, 200817 yr LOL...Yes, and in 4 years, FSXI is gonna be out, and we will be nagging about its performance, just like about FSX today, and FSX is going to be running like FS9 today.Glad we straightened it out :)Btw. I also like nice scenery when on approach, just not possible with all the addons and FSX and 40fps, which is really a nice feeling when looking at the PFD on approach, and nothing is jerky. And Nigel, sorry that we kinda hijacked your thread :D
June 24, 200817 yr Hey Word Not Allowed...Although my rig is in for repairs,I remembered I had posted picks at Simouthouse...Here are some samples....Sorry..i only have one @ KDEN....... Can you tell..Is it 20 or 28 FPS ?????? Old eyes here
June 24, 200817 yr Can't tell. Looks like 28, but could easily also be 20.I can only say, nothing out of the ordinary here. Default AC + default airport without the gates and vehicles... Sure it produces enough FPS. As we agreed :-)
June 24, 200817 yr Actually...It mostly my trafficX.....But I think I was testing configurations at that point and had density set to med it looks like..........But was that not a stunning shot of the sunset shimmering across the water @ 106 frames.........Come on...Yes it is....LOLI kid.....Its only a game.......... Or is it??????Sure makes me miss my rig..this old one will not even fly FS9 .....They called today...They duplicated my issues...YEA...Should be home with in the week......If they find the prob quickly....
June 25, 200817 yr >I kid.....Its only a game.......... Wrong statement in the very wrong forum :-lol:-lol:-lol:-lol
June 25, 200817 yr Perhaps.....LOLBut you don't like my picture?and it is a game......It says so on the box.....I looked....
June 25, 200817 yr As I see it: It is a game if you keep it in it's "original" state! As soon as you start adding different addons for aircraft, scenery, and rest, it becomes a simulator. A simulator is usually not a game, since it is not used for gaming, but rather simulating real life.Your picture, it's like this: its too simple for my taste, there is no diversity, there is no life. At least 1st and 2nd. 3rd is pretty neat, though also kind of dead, very little weather, thought that can be disputed by "clear weather on that day" :-lol
June 25, 200817 yr Man Word Not Allowed....You're seriously one hard dude to sell.....LOLShow us your stuff..i would love to see...And the way I fly,its no simulation of anything close to real....
June 25, 200817 yr Ah, well, here's the difference. I fly online, follow the rulez, checklists, and usually flying nothing short of quality of PMDG, Level-D and sometimes PSS (system-wise).Some older screenshots, don't have anything actual:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/190015.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/190016.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/190017.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/190018.jpg
June 25, 200817 yr Ehhhhhh Not Bad...... I kidI like #4 the best...... I find the first, although very colorful,it is rather bland..And someone wrote all over the second one....Whats up with that? The third one..Dude..Its got pop ups all over it...This is susposed to be real ,right? The fourth... Pretty sky, although it looks very unreal...And there are no airport gates.....They just open the door and passengers jump?I joke...They are very nice...Very clear, very nice cockpit claitity, stunning colors throught-out.But still a game.....LOL
June 26, 200817 yr 2nd: when online, other aircraft appear with labels on them. One can turn it off though, though its pretty handy to see who is behind you when flying a joined BAV flight (a virtual airline).1st is bland I agree, but colorful, nothing much about it. More presentation of a nice livery.3rd: Pop-ups are due to online flying, it's more real than switching back to windows desktop to set up squawkbox and see ATC info etc...4th: gates are there, believe me, its just due to a resizing you dont see them. This one is a really good addon of Vienna airport. Though I find the sky pretty good depiction of what I usually see in the morning here...I guess you are yet not up to the challenge of a "real" situation :)
