July 18, 200817 yr >Current games do not take advantage of quad core processors. >The gamers choice at the moment is dual core.>Al.The gamer with quadcore who wants a little future headroom can still get fine performance or better and will be increasingly more capable of handling future software better than the gamer dual core. I find FSX runs great on the first 3 cores, with the 4th assigned to everything else more or less. I fly the Cessna 441 Conquest with sliders near or at max and all the addon scenery and weather, and stay locked at 30 to 40 without bloom, and 23 to 30 with bloom. I disagree with the blanket statement, "the gamers' choice at the moment is dual core." No offense to you Al, I just think that is a very rigid portrayal of the issue.Noel Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync. July 18, 200817 yr It will be about 3 years before I make the transition to FSX because of hardware issues. Right now, I am enjoying FS9.RH
