Which of these videocard is best for FSX

Recommended Posts

These three graphics card is from different generation and the cost differ not very much. 1) Asus Extreme GeForce 8800GT 256MB DDR3 870 SEKhttp://www.datorbutiken.com/se/default.asp...uct=ASN88GT-2562) MSI GeForce 9600GT 512MB DDR3 1010 SEKhttp://www.datorbutiken.com/se/default.asp...uct=MSINX96GTOC3) XFX GeForce 9800GT 512MB DDR3 1190 SEKhttp://www.datorbutiken.com/se/default.asp...oduct=XFXGF98GT Would there be any great difference in FSX performence between them? Or could I take the prices as a guide about how well they will perform in FSX (and also FS9)?

Hi,If I were you, I would get an 8800 GT with 512 MB of RAM if available. The 9800 GT is the exact same as the 8800 GT except it's gotten a die shrink and some versions of it have a 55 nm process. These cards are nice for FSX. Heck, for FS9, all you need is an FX5200. This will work fine.

Can a 9800 be worse than a 8800?

9600 GTs are worse yes, but the 9800 GT is the EXACT same as the 8800 GT, except with a die shrink. You could go for that one.
