Hi Tom you #@###$ and so and so! :)OK, I tried to do a link to my site for an image (just the link, no image) via the same as in the Html reference and the forum ignored my use of the first bracket and used the: > instead????it should be:left Bracket link : www . frontiernet . net/~pleatzaw /images/ecto6.jpg | discription right bracket but this is what happens: Fs2k2 1m/pix Fs2k2 scenery

Delete the spaces I indicated by _ .left Bracket link_:_www_._frontiernet_. net/~pleatzaw_/images/ecto6.jpg_|_discription_right bracket I just tested it without the spaces and the link works fine.Well, on second try I got the same thing you did.Brent Hebert

Disregard my first reply. I just tried a similar link to my server and had the same problem. Avsim may be doing some internal software tweaking.Brent Hebert

Paul, I thought for sure you could post a link to an image just like you suggested. For some reason, the forum software displays it correctly when you just use a regular link to a page, but it gets messed up when it is a direct link to an image. I'm not sure why it is doing this, but we'll look into it.

Hey Paul,Long time bud. Hope all is well with you and yours.You've got it backwards. The link is always first, then the description (which, in this case, is an image instead of text). Here's how:{link:www.frontiernet.net/~pleatzaw/|http ://www .frontiernet.net/~pleatzaw/images/ecto6.jpg}http://www.frontiernet.net/~pleatzaw/images/ecto6.jpgUnfortunately, there's no way to specify a border of 0 so you always get the blue/purple border on images. Hi Elrond,I think what Paul was trying to do was to offer a possible solution of a workaround by being able to provide a link imbedded within the description that will go to a picture by clicking on it. That way it saves bandwidth. It may work by inserting a thumbnail of the screenshot that will pull up a fullsize image on his server.Brent Hebert

Hi Brent,Ah, I got ya. Sorry bout that. I guess the only way is to create a shell html file that contains the image. Something like:

<html><head><title>Image</title></head><body><p><img border="0" src="http://www.frontiernet.net/~pleatzaw/images/ecto6.jpg"></p></body></html>

Then link to it as normal:{link:www.frontiernet.net/~pleatzaw/images/image.html|Image Description}Like ThisKind of a pain, for sure. If you had cgi access, it'd be easy to whip up a little script that loaded any image given on the url line, and that'd work. Still, lots of hassle.Take care,Elrond
