Any way of translating the Cryllic script on Russian a/c panels?

Featured Replies

I have purchased an ex-USSR Army Antonov AN-14. I have given it a bit of a scrub-up and painted it in some nice civilian colours. I intend to use it flying around Alaska - some of those airstrips are awfully short. Trouble is that my pilots are always complaining about the Russian language on the gauges and cockpit panel - so I am considering repainting the panel and Anglicising the whole thing. I reckon I could sell a lot of these a/c if western pilots could just read the panels.Barry

Well it is possible, Many European country have done this with Tu-154 and MiG-29 im sure you can do it for An-14. Or teach the pilots Russian? :-lol I am interested in your venture, drop me line sometime :-)Fseevo Samava Luchsheva! I will send you an email in a few weeks time--I am just about to go away to Sydney (Australia) for the Xmas time. I have been slowly converting the VC panel of the AN-14 so that English readers can understand what it says - but I need some help.See you in a few weeks Barry in Brisbane , Australia

Hello, I can speak Russian ( although I make some grammatical mistakes, it's such an alien language, it doesn't affect the meaning at all)...so perhaps I can translate for you if you can send me the Russian text or a clear image. Can your computer render Cyrllic text? Так или иначе Я могу сделать это. I wonder if you can see that? [email protected], if you're interested.
