Aircraft hopping on the ground

Recommended Posts

In the tutorial the Concorde starts hopping around , when I go to spot view, and then crashes into the ground. Also,I#m not able to cancel the M/CG warning with this ping...How do I stop this and what's wrong with the contact points which perhaps leads to the crash at the gate?Best wishes maximilian Marquart

I chose the PSSConcorde1 flight from the flights menu and began the tutorial. After that I loaded the flightplan into the GPS. I didn#t change any weights...Best wishes Max

I have the same problem. Default Concord (no changes or adjustments) after loading IFR flight plan KONT-RJTT and I cycle to outside view (S key) the plane starts hopping and collapses.

The M/CG appears to be a loading error - just re-load the flight again straight away and you will find that warning goes away!Ray Keattch

No, this happens nearly every flight! Seems to be a bug with the contact points...Could you please fix this?Best wishes Max

Hello !I don't think the problem are contact points... I have sometimes the same problem when using the spot view, and the reason may be the FPS or performance of your system with some ground definitions.See this old post (issue 2 and my answer):http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...33053&mode=fullRegardsGeorges - IVAO Id 145418http://ggka.online.fr/ia/logos/iaslogo.gif ISO658F - http://isomba.airlines.online.fr/http://isomba.airlines.online.fr/pictures/uas.gif UAS104 (Staff) - http://www.uas-va.org/

I'm also having the same problem with the aircraft bouncing after I select outside view. Then the aircraft registers a "crash". Anymore thoughts on this? This happens as far as I can tell everytime I switch to external view. I do use active camera and don't know if this might be the culprit. I'll have to experiment more.Best Regards,Randy

The only bouncing I have seen with Concorde was yesterday, in spot view at an addon field in Austria, and even then it was minimal. Moving the aircraft to another part of the field and trying to replicate the bouncing failed.I also have active camera installed.

I believe Georges above has it correct. This happens in many add-on aircraft, and I think that it's linked to the scenery data. (Unseen holes?)Graham

I had Concorde register a crash from outside view (the nose sinks below ground and FS registers a crash). I was taxiing last night using the external view, came to a stop, then gave it some throttle to move onto the runway threshold in Seattle, the whole plane seemed to shudder and the nose wheel dropped below ground. I also use active camera. My recommendation right now is not to use external view when moving from a standstill.I also have a problem when loading the first flight in the tutorial at Paris CDG in that the plane drops by 4' or so (seems to be above ground), crashes, and reloads and things are fine (I do have the add-on scenery for CDG available on AVSIM). This happens from the cockpit so I assume the scenery is at a different height from what was saved.

I have seen this also, however, the "bounce" phenomenon can be observed in other aircraft as well.
