INS wind readout

I was using FS real weather with 15 min updates the other day and noticed the wind readout was showing zero. Should the INS show the wind at height?

Thanks John INS seems to show wind OK at start of flight/low levels but then loses it.

Hi John,My experience with the INS Wind Speed indication is this:Good and consistent wind indication when speed is Subsonic, but when increases and reach Transonic speed, INS Wind Speed becomes zero (speed & direction). In the back way, decelerating to Subsonic speed, INS Wind Speed indication are back again. Hope this can be useful to Alex.Regards.Dirk Trotteyn (SANT)
