Dash 8 heat modeled?

I've been flying the Dash 8 for a while but not during cold weather. As I was flying yesterday I suddenly realized I was flying around with the speed indicator showing sitting at zero.I couldn't figure out what was going on. So then on my next flight everything was fine again but part way into the flight I noticed the indicator was once again at zero.I then started thinking about it and tried turning on the heat for everything (flying around the Northeast) and after about 10 minutes I got readings again.Am I correct in assuming that heat is indeed modeled here and would not having it on give me the symptom described?If so, thanks!
