Dash 8 falls from the sky

When flying last night I was about 10 minutes into the flight when the illumination behind the instruments went out with the exception of the EADI, the EHSI. All the nav and radios were still illuminated. I could see that the other instruments were all still working, just dark. I had used the standard start up, and rechecked the overhead panel. All seemed to be normal. So I thought I'd continue and advises ATC that I had lighting problems but could read my instruments and all systems appeared to be working anyway. However, about 10/15 minutes later I started to lose altitude and despite applying engine power I could not pull the nose out of a dive, apparently no power to the control surfaces, (or at least thats what it looked like). Ended up strewn all over the countryside. Can anyone explain what happened to the instruments, and if it happens again, is there a way to rescue the flight when the illumination goes and before the aircraft crashes.ThanksAndrew

Andrew,This sounds like classic dead battery syndrome - a well documented MSFS bug.If you search the forums you will find many people have offered a solution. Me? Ive maybe flown the Dash a handful of times. Its not my thing and was produced way before I came to PSS. Steven or Robert are your best bet.
