Dash-8 300C & 300Q dead battery--need help

Recommended Posts

Hi:I've been on this forum before but can't seem to solve the problem. Twenty minutes into any Dash 8 flight (regardless of model) I get an apparent electrical failure which takes out the NAV/COMMs. Althought the FMS continues to work, I can't switch the A/P back to VOR mode and bring up any NAV functions---putting an end to IFR flights.I'm told that I need to go to my default flight, bring it up and switch aircraft to the DH8. But that doesn't cure the problem. Short of purchasing a new product, what can I do?Thanks,George[EGKA]

If you have the registered version of FSUIPC you can select the extend battery life option. When you the default flight, make sure that before you change to the dash 8 that the default aircraft is setup for flight, with all the required switches in their correct positions. (engines can be off etc but mainly the electical system)
