Dash-8 startup sequence

Recommended Posts

Guest gwi

Hi:I've become pretty good at starting from 'cold & dark'. I bring up the overhead, then do a 'W' flow scan starting from top left and switch things on as I go (at night, even switching on the panel floodlight to see what I'm doing).Problem is, having never flown a big turbo in real life, I don't fully understand the logic of what I'm doing. Can anybody suggest a good book on A/C systems for this class of aircraft? Thanks,GWI (EGKA)

What parts of the startup are you not understanding? It might be easier to think of it as operating a jet aircraft- because essentially it is, only instead of having an enclosed duct fan, the output of the jet engine is connected to a propellor.Ruahrc
