Mine are P4 2,8 (overclocked by 10% to 3,06). Frames are limited to 30. Could a recently released Directx 9c have any influence?Rgds, Sam

I have a P4 2.4 GHz and I've got the frame limiter set to 35.

I have a few question regarding this new FDE.I just had a weight of about 405000LBs, just for testing the new FDE, and when I released the parking brake for advancing the throttles, the A/C starts rolling realy fast for that weight.I would understand that sort of reaction if I had no payload and only a fuel figure of 40000Lbs, but in this scenario I had a fuel load of about 56000LBs with the weight give by Bob 350000LBs gives me a total of 406000LBs.Second thing. After takeoff and when getting to V2+10, accordance the SPD tape I should already retracted the flaps (-F on speed tape)I used flaps 1 for takeoff but when you don't select the flaps up you don't get the slats retraction on the speed tape (-S on speed tape)Is this normal behavior????Thanks,

I have another question. If I use the new FDE, will the fuelplanner that come's with PSS still be reliable???? So, when I plan a trip with a final fuel reserve of 6000KG that I land with approx 6000KG.So basicaly, not to match fuel but also not that I getting dry tanks in stage of CRZ. :(Thanks,

Assuming you're talking about the A340, remember that the max gross weight of this airplane is ~606,000 lbs. At 406,000 lbs, you are still very light, and yes, rolling at idle is realistic at such low weights with all 4 high-bypass fans turning. As far as speed indications, those are functions of gauge programming, not FDE, so the PSS gauge programmer(s) need to answer that question.Bob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Washington, DC

I use Ernie Alston's FSBuild, which, like my FDE, is based on real-world aircraft performance data. Fuel burn planning figures from FSBuild come reasonably close to fuel consumption experienced with my 330/340 flight dynamics.RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Washington, DC

Ok thank you very match...about rolling very fast forward with IDLE thrust, I know that that is normal because LH actualy switch of ENG 2&3 on the B744 because they are very light. And about the fuel planner from FSBUILD, were can I get it???

Ernie Alston's FSbuild page is at at http://www.fsbuild.comIt's not just a fuel planner, it's a comprehensive flight planning utility. The bad news...it's not free. The good news...it's worth every penny.RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Washington, DC

Hi Bob,I update the new version of your A330 FDE, and it works greate.Thank you very much !Only a little problem exists.I have both aircraft.cfg file and .air file installed and I don't mix or match the PSS config/air files with yours.During the approach phase in managed mode, when I set flaps to 1, the speed decelerate first to S-speed. When reaching S-speed, the "S" disappeares and speed decelerate to F-speed (possibly to slowly for turns). Therefore I fly in selected speed-mode to keep S-speed until flaps setting permits F-speed.This problem does not arise when I use the original PSS-Files.Thanks for your assistance and sorry about my poor english.Uwe

Uwe; Make sure you have version 1.2H downloaded directly from my website (see top post in this thread). The version posted on the PSS user updates page is very old...I fixed the flap indication problems back in version 1.2E, and I can't reproduce that behavior here with the latest version.RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Washington, DC

Did you activate APPR PHASE in the PERF PAGE in the MCDU?Rgds, Sam

Hello again,I had the same problem yesterday, resulting in reaching the AFLOOR at the first turn, then crash.... ;)My "Controlling EPR...Using Throttle" / Max Acceleration is increased to 0.004 (btw, how to make this change permanent ?)As Uwe described, when deploying Flaps to 1 (I do usually 5-10 nm before capturing the LOC), the speed decrease to S then immediately F speed. Maybe 3 knots above the AFLOOR limit. Unsafe !I don't remember having this problem with release "F" or "G" of the FDE.BTW, is it possible, please, to put online the version G has well on your homepage ?Thank you very much!-Jerome

Hello Bob,thank you for this quick response.I tested the files (Version 1.2H) from your website and I have still the same problem. :-(Analog Jerome I activate APPR PHASE in the PERF PAGE in the MCDU.My whole approach is exactly as described in several manuals.Any idea ?Thank you very much !Uwe
