A320/19 Autobrake engage on takeoff roll

Recommended Posts

Anyone know why the "MAX" autobrake engages during a normal takeoff roll? The "MAX" switch is selected on per takeoff protocol, but has just started to engage of late. Ideas?

Regards,

Joe Esposito

Pressing F1 or pulling the throttle back after 80kts will apply the autobrakes.

If your throttle pot is wigging out and occasionally spiking with a near-zero value, it'll cause the autobrakes to engage. This can happen to throttle controllers as they age and start throwing spurious readings into the mix. With full version of FSUIPC you can look at the axis output values and see if that's a problem. If it just started, you may have a pot in your throttle heading for Valhalla.RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Washington, DC
