how to adjust crusing altitude while in cruise mode

I tried changing the cost index, it works then, when I get to my crusing altitude, the speed goes back to .82. What is the problem??

Hey you need to go to the prog page and then enter a new FL. After this you should be able to go to the AP enter the new FL and press the button. You won't be able to change the cost index settings though...Hope this helpsA320MAD
