Microsoft Meetings?

Recommended Posts

Whatever happened to these meetings Microsoft was supposed to hold in select cities inviting MSFS owners to give their input on future features in FS versions? I never heard of anyone going around here and I sure didnt ever receive an invitation. Maybe they decided to scrap that project and just read our complaints here. :) Anyways, if you were asked to attend any MS meetings on MSFS, please let us all know. Thanks,Craig

I wonder....would such meetings be productive -- from their point of view? What I mean is....look at what happens when someone starts a thread about what they wanna see in FS2004 -- a feeding frenzie ensues, everytime, without exeception. Matter of fact, I think Tom (or a moderator) will lock or delete any such threads now because they just go on and on and on and on....reguritating the same old complaints over and over and over......Frankly, I'd rather they spent their time working on FS than travelling around the country listening to the same old complaints.IMHOCalhover long and prosper

hey, I went to the Chicago focus group. I had a great time and met some nice guys. They just stuck us in a room where they video taped and recorded our conversations about FS. There was a moderator there to keep us on track. We covered just about everything from 3rd party development to better ATC and system performance. It was a give, not take situation. so dont ask me what's coming in 2k4. I left with a good feeling about the situation as a whole. They collected a very knowledgable group. I, for one, am glad to see them asking for our opinions. Whats the point of them working away on the next version without any knowledge of what the community likes or dislikes?joe

I for one would be happy to offer my services to MS as an FS intelligence gathering agent! Remember, they're a large corporation, so they'd probably feel better about paying me oh, I dunno, $200/hour to distill the things people are saying on the forums into a nice report that I could give them in PowerPoint. Then things would start getting done. Hoo boy, you betcha.Seriously.

Well that sucks that I wasnt invited. I was really looking forward to that. They must have had a really strict criteria on what they were looking for. At any rate Im glad to see that they actually went through with the meetings and gathered a face-to-face opinion from the people that support their product. I dont think you can ask much more than that.Craig

Maybe next time they'll ask people outside the US too...Might make for better implementation of the rest of the world which is still somewhat lacking.
