PSS A340 Overspeed Condition

Recommended Posts

I was cruising from KMIA with real weather (using FSMetar picking up after effects of hurricane Jean) and at times winds would gust up to 100 mph and the OVERSPEED message would appear and the mach speed would vary from .82 to over .919.The flight was programmed via the FMC for FL370 at a cruise speed of .82.How best to slow down the airplane to avoid a structural failure? Also, how to program the FMC for severe tailwinds or weather in general? Thanks,

I've just picked up FSmetar as well and have had the same happen in the A320.I know this happens in any of my aircraft if I just use the realworld weather option in FS9 (the updated every 15 mins option). So, I assume it is FS9's inability of make smooth weather changes. If you have the registered version FSUIPC, you can follow the steps in FSMetar's manual to smooth the changes. (I don't have it--on my list!)Hope that helps :)Shane.
