A340 real world: new altitude-callouts??

Recommended Posts

Guest Stefan Bergert

Hi everyone!I just watched following video: http://www.fsaviation.com/~airvideo/a340/1a/a340/hkapp.zip -from www.a340.net , 4.6MBIt shows an A340 (I guess -200 or -300) on finals for Kai Tak.You can clearly hear following automatic callouts: "Twohundred and fifty" and "Onehundred and twenty" (!)To which airline does such a strange callout belong to / or is it a typical callout that is omitted under certain circumstances? To me, it's strange to have an 120 callout (while nearly every aircraft- Boeing, MD, CRJ, ERJ or Airbus etc. has a 100 callout). Also, the 250 callout is also unsusual, I think, isn't it? I only know that airbus' A340 has a special 2500 (Twothousand-fivehundred) callout which others don't have.Any ideas (or even FCOM ref's?)?Best regards,Stefan
