A340-300 Can't hold jetways or waypoints?

Recommended Posts

Guest d0rkiishchris

I have the Virgin Atlantic A340. I followed the tutorials to learn how to use the MCDU. I enter SID's and STAR's all appropriatly and find jetways and way point in between to use. However, the plane constantly will skip a way point and turn to a heading relative to the following waypoint. Also, I have yet to complete a transatlantic flight without the plane getting itself lost. Say a flight from KBOS to EGKK, somewhere over the water where the jetways end and there really aren't any way points, the plane cancels out the entire flight plan! Maybe I am missing something crucial. I ask for help from PSS and they just tell me to follow the tutorials... done that. Now what do I get for my 14 dollars, a plane I can't fly? Hopefully someone here can help me. I have the Airbus A320 series from them and they seem to work fine, of cource I haven't tried a transatlantic flight with one of those. And I have noticed the A319 deviate courses often to intercept the next way point rather than the one i programmed it to go to, which can cause a bit of a mess in a STAR. Please help,Chris

make sure under realism gyro drift is uncheckedtracking the waypoints depends on the angle and distance between the pointsyou can enter nav points from KBOS to EGKK, they are called North Atlantic TracksJohn PSS SUPPORTsupport@phoenix-simulation.co.ukhttp://www.avsim.com/pss/phoenix.jpg

How do I find out where the Jet Way is if Flight simulator doesn't have it on the map? And Gyro drift is unchecked. And what I mean when I say the plane deviates course...Lets say I am on Jetway JX (fictional) to KGSO from KCLT. Often the plane will delete this entire part of the route and try to track the following waypoint... leaving me without any flight path. Half the time the plane isn't even heading in the correct direction at all.

Chris; The very first PSS A330/340 release did have a problem with waypoint skipping...but I have not seen in that in v1.2--how long has it been since you installed the PSS Scarebus? Might be worth deleting and reinstalling to make sure you have the latest version.RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Washington, DC
