A330 TOGA problem Exceeding 250kts on Takeoff

Recommended Posts

I recently flew an entire flight in the A330 and had a really great flight. However, I did encounter one problem that I have yet to figure out.. On take-off, pushing the TOGA or FLX detent, the plane accelerates and I take-off without any problems. However, Once I reach 1500ft, I switch to CLB mode by changing the throttle detent to "CL". However, the plane keeps accelerating past 250kts for some reason? It appears that the MCDU puts in the 250kts speed restriction with the "(LIM)" line that should be limiting my speed to 250kts until 10,000ft. Is this not true? Do I need to set a 250kt speed restriction manually for each waypoint in the MCDU until reaching 10,000ft. ? Thanks for your help!-Kev

No you don't need to set each one manually. Select one of the right LSKs next to one of the fixes below FL100 and make sure that at LSK2L (CLB SPD LIM) it doesn't say 00/00000. If it does enter 250/FL100 and press LSK2L.
