Cannot Land. And an Error.

Recommended Posts

Guest Jonnypiano

Okay, first small problem: On the Airbus A321v, when I press keypad 2, to view over the glareshield, I get this error:http://www.geocities.com/eiknarf666/a321verror.JPGSecondly, I can either not get a localizer devation needle to show up (thus cannot fly the approach) or can't enable LOC mode at all, nor have any sign of proper ILS identification in any of the displays. Here are some screenshots. This is when LOC works, but no deviation needle (approaching Stansted (EGSS)):http://www.geocities.com/eiknarf666/locnotcaptured.JPGAnd here is a picture of the CDU:http://www.geocities.com/eiknarf666/cduapproach.JPGAnd here's when nothing works (approaching Heathrow (EGLL)):http://www.geocities.com/eiknarf666/noils.JPGWould be very grateful for any advice.Regards,Jonathan

create a folder called C:psstexturethat will get rid of the error messagemake sure your startup flight is one of the default aircraft, saved as default flight with engines running, avionics onJohn PSS SUPPORTsupport@phoenix-simulation.co.ukhttp://www.avsim.com/pss/phoenix.jpg

I don't quite understand what you mean by a flight of the default aircraft. I am currently starting up the aircraft with the panel configuration set to 'Engines Off' and 'Cold and Dark Cockpit'. I also have a Cold and Dark cockpit FLTSIM file, for all my other aircraft. I have also looked in 'Select A Flight', there's nothing PSS in there. So I'm just wondering what you mean exactly.ThanksJonathan

...No, I have the FLTSIM file that makes it so that it all starts up cold and dark. Where is this leading? I can't see its relation to not getting an ILS on approach...Jonathan

there is a dead battery glitch in both FS2002 and FS2004there is a fix in FSUIPC on the technical tab, but you need the full registered versionanother fix is to set your default flight as followsstart FSselect 'create a flight'select one of the default aircraft, location of your choiceselect 'save flight'enter a title such as 'default'check 'make this the default flight'John PSS SUPPORTsupport@phoenix-simulation.co.ukhttp://www.avsim.com/pss/phoenix.jpg

Yeah, I have the registered version of FSUIPC and I have got battery permanently powered... but what relation does any of this have to my problem? I don't have battery problems. My problem is that on approach I don't get a localizer deviation needle or at times I don't get any ILS at all.Would really like this to be sorted soon as I've had the Airbus for ages now and not been able to fly it.Jonathan
