A340 Approach & Landing Modes

I have been experiencing considerable difficulty with A340 approach & landing modes.1) When landing, the ECAM displays a "Takeoff Memo" when in reality, a corresponding "Landing Memo" should activate. I note in the Airbus A330 / A340 Systems Manual (pg. 28), that a Landing Memo should automatically display prior to landing, below 1500 feet when gear down, or below 800 feet with gear up?2) On ILS approach with ILS frequency properly tuned and MCDU PERF Approach Mode designating assigned landing runway selected, LOC & G/S modes do not arm when APPR button is pressed? Your assistance is greatly appreciated.Greg.
