Wind Sensitivity

Recommended Posts

Guest Kewnet

I've been advised to make a post here by the boss-man himself so here goes.............Almost every flight i attempt in the A320 (CD version) results in disaster. Every time the wind changes in FS2004 (and i mean slight variations of 1 or 2 knots in either speed/direction) the A320 pitches up and down at angles at upto 15000 FPM.This results in A-Floor followed by either the aircraft breaking up or hitting the deck doing 500 knots !!I've taken around 15 screenshots showing the sequence of events should anyone wish to see them.I've also had a look at the replacement air file by Olivio (not sure if that's the right name) and whereas it does improve matters, the weight and balance is incorrect as load-edit can't adjust it so low speed handling is..erm... interesting ! (There are more descriptive words i'd use but i'm fairly sure that the T&C's of the forum would forbid it !!)Anyway.. would really appreciate some help on this one, it's driving me nuts !!It would be a real shame to loose a panel that is quite simply excellent because the air file is over sesnitive to wind variation.

Pitch sensitivity like this is usually, in my experience, caused by an excessively aft CG. What are the station loads in your aircraft.cfg?RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Washington, DC

Hi BobI'm using the Just Flight (JF) version that comes with a loading utility that takes care of the weight and balance issues.I'm actually starting to wonder if it's the JF 2004 patch that is causing the problem - i certainly didn't have these problems in FS02 and speaking to some chaps I know that use the "proper" PSS version in FS04, they've never had the problems that i'm having.I've attached a screenshot showing just how violent these pitch changes are.
