Loc "lock" and all that

Recommended Posts

I am having difficulty in getting the LOC and APPR buttons to work on approach. I have read all the posts I can find and noticed the solution of where to enter the ILS frequencies etc. OK. Now it works sometimes but when it does the aircraft turns right 30 degrees. I can get it back by re-pressing APPR button several times but the retard throttle (F2) after landing then does not work - the auto-throttle does not disable. I start with the default 737 and then load the airbus. It happens with all the airbus aircraft even after I have re-installed them.My 340 is virtually unusable as it makes wild turns (oscillations) in tracking a flight plan to the point that it would be impossible to be a passenger on the flight even though the track ends up where it is supposed to be. I am not using the A340 at this time. Can someone point me in the right direction?

YesThis is a complex aircraft and I am learning. Still get strange loss of altitude on approach with some aircraft. It is not yet stable enough to fly on VATSIM but hopefully after more practice it will be. Any suggestions to improve stability will be appreciated.
