Problem with the radios

After sitting at the gate with no power and either external power, the apu or no power (cold cockpit), I have trouble with the radios. I turn on the apu and the battery and still cannot contact the tower. The only time I can communicate with the tower and the only time I can us ethe radio in all airbus models is after I turn on the engines. What am I doing wrong and what can I do to use thge radio after getting into a cold cockpit?

Are you starting FS with a non-default aircraft? Thats usually cause #1 when it comes to errors with addon aircrafts/panels.

also, the landing weight is calculated by the zfw minus the amount of fuel needed to finish the flight. This provides an accurate calculation before take off but when you are in the air, the amount decreases and the landing weight increases!! Why does it do that??
