Project Opensky 747 Wing Views

Hi,Can anyone tell me how I can remove the wing view from the ProjectOpensky 747 v3`s. I would prefere to have my own wing views but,at present cannot find how you delete the Opensky wing view.Any help would be most appreciatedYours John

If you have your own static wing views, it's actually fairly easy. There is a parameter in the panel.cfg where views are setup, which works in cockpit mode. I suggest taking a look at the default Lear panel.cfg---one look is better than any explanation I could offer. For what it's worth though, I feel POSKY's 747 wing views are the best dynamic wing views I've ever seen. But I understand wanting to have a "photoreal" effect with static bmps.....-John

Tks for responding JohnHowever, I have a third party panel and have already inserted myown wing views into it. But, I still have the Opensky wingviewsas well!! Its not part of the panel but the aircraft cfgfile I think with opensky. Any ideas????John

Two things---Depending on where the eyepoint in the aircraft.cfg is, you may still see the dynamic wing views. They are hard coded into the aircraft .mdl and can't be removed. You can move they eyepoint forward in the aircraft.cfg (this is the controlled by the first number which follows the eyepoint). If you move it forward to where the cockpit should be--roughly 80-100 ft. forward of the wing--this should effectively "hide" the wing views when looking to either side. You can also accomplish the same thing in the panel.cfg, but I haven't played with those parameters much.-John

Tks JohnTried that and it works. However, one snag, chaning the eyepointalters the view from the cockpit forward does it not? Thats a pity, is there a way to stop this change?JohnSorry to be of bother
