Climb thrust disconnect

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,Ive been reading tutorials about when to change FLEX/TOGA to CLB Thrust, but I have not seen anything about when to turn off CLB Thrust.I had to press ' - ' to disconnect the auto throttle then reactivate the auto throttle to remove the CLB which is displayed on the engine readings. All the best.Armen at EGLLwww.veryquiet.com

HiYou should not "turn off" climb thrust. The Airbus throttles are set to the CLB detent during inial climbout and will stay in that detent until retarded during approach. With A/THR engaged, you can look at the throttles as a Thrust Rating Panel. The first detent is CLB, then FLEX TOFF and the third detent TOGA./Stellan

Thanks Stellan,I was particularly confused because it didnt sound right being in CLB thrust while descending, but thanks for clearing that up.All the best.Armen at EGLLwww.veryquiet.com
